The full stack software engineer will report directly to the Auterion Country Manager.

At Auterion, we build a global open source platform for drones and autonomous robots. In the growing market of drones and autonomous vehicles, we are connecting high-end open source software development and open hardware with enterprise-grade support. Our Kyiv-based team explores, develops, and delivers new cutting-edge technologies that serve as the foundation of current and future drone products for the Ukrainian market.
Your Role:
We’re looking for a full stack software engineer who will play a pivotal role in the future of our company. Our full stack software engineer will be responsible for software development and implementation of Auterion’s Ukraine-specific products. The ideal candidate is excited by driving contributions in building and extending scalable, user-friendly features which will be tightly integrated into our Auterion Mission Control and AuterionOS software.
Responsibilities and Duties:
● Work as software engineer within a cross functional product team that handles several drone platforms in different verticals. Expect a wide range of tasks: primarily software development but also hands on integration and flight testing.
● C++ software development on the flight controller (embedded microcontroller). For example implement drivers for new sensors, implement a new flight mode, etc ..
● C++ software development on applications running on the onboard Linux computer Skynode) to control cameras, gimbals, radios, etc.
● C++ and QML software development for the ground control station application to develop safe, easy-to-use, robust workflows
Qualifications and Skills:
● A master degree in software, electrical engineering or equivalent
● 4 years experience with software development with C++ on Linux and/or microcontroller experience
● Experience with Networking in Linux IPv4, DHCP, ethernet, wifi, etc)
● Experience with Docker
● Good communication skills in English
● Experience with VTOL/Fixed-wing guidance, navigation and control is a plus
● Experience with Qt is a plus
● Experience with PX4 and MAVLink is a plus
● A product oriented mindset and energy to tackle any problems that might arise in order to bring the product to market
● Startup mindset. Experience working in a startup like environment and understanding the value of working in iterations
